New Guard Dog

Our dear, sweet dog, Daisy, passed away a few weeks ago, probably of old age. So sad. We were left with only one little dog, Louise. We feel strongly in having guard dogs we call them outside. Not that they are mean by any stretch but they would for sure bark at anyone strange coming on the property and so on. So we felt we needed to get another dog since Louise is not the young pup she used to be. It's good to bring a new dog to the place when it can be around another dog that's grown up and used to things. So far our new dog, Rusty, is copying Louise's actions and staying near the house and barking only when something strange is going on. This puppy is a Catahoula Kerr and will grow to be a big dog. I love the 3 shades of brown which is unusual.

He's so cute! Are his eyes green and blue? They look so pretty in the picture!

I'm sorry you lost your daisy. My first dog was also named Daisy (she was a dalmation) and she was a GREAT guard dog. ANYWAY, your new dog is so neat looking! I love his blue eyes. Is this you in the pic w/him? You have pretty eyes, too! I always have the hardest time getting "good" pics of me.
Congrats on your new boy. I am amazed he still has growing to do, he already looks big in the pic! Could you maybe post a pic when he is full grown?

I'm not sure if I've commented before or not, but I noticed today that you're from MS too and wanted to say hello.
Your dog is such a beauty! I hope he'll be a great alarm system for you.
