Bed rest and sick chick.

I haven't been able to post much. I've been put on bed rest, because my placenta is really low..I'm BORED!!We also have been busy taking care of a sick chick. He had an abscess on his face so we had to put him in a seperate brooder. My 12 year old has taken over duties as chick mama. She's been doing a great job. The chick needs to have a hot compress put on his face several times a day and have ointment applied. He really trusts her because he stays pretty calm through the whole thing. He also has a piece of litter in his eye and we have been trying to flush it out, he doesn't like that very much. We've named him Quasimoto...he's got a gentle spirit but he's rather hideous to looking right now. He's been pretty spoiled but he's worth it. He'll climb right into your hand when you reach in to get him from the brooder.

{ 12:08, Tuesday 28 March 2006 } { Posted by motherearth }You are in the home stretch now, hang in there, bed rest is hard, my dear friend was on complete bed rest for 2 weeks in the hospital, she just delivered on Tuesday of last week, she was only 7 months along. It was hard on her, but she made it, the things we do for our children right?
