The Zoo

Sigh.. I'm getting too big.

Well today is the last day I'll be doing the chore of getting eggs and feeding the chickens out at the coop until after baby comes. I'm just too pregnant to do it. The door to the coop is warped and kinda crooked and it isn't easy to latch. My husband has done the best he can to fix it, but we really just need new doors, and we can't afford that right now. I went out to take care of the chickens this morning but I had a really hard time with the door and ended up with sore tummy muscles from trying to push, lift and latch the door at the same time. Sigh.. oh well.
I always feel kinda bad when I get to this part of my pregnancies. I'm not much help around here from here on out.  I can't lift much, I can't bend over, and I can't do certain tasks for too long. I have to have the kids get pans out from the bottom cabinets for me, I have to have the kids lift the water jugs up on to the counter and I can't carry the laundry baskets.  Another few weeks and I won't be able to do the laundry at all because it's hard for me to reach into the washer or to get clothes out of the dryer. Luckily the kids usually do the bulk of the laundry anyway.
We need to get the garden started soon (till the ground and put up a fence) and we'll be planting right around the time baby is due.  I won't be able to do any of this. The kids will be responsible for the entire garden prep. this year.  We've already discussed it and they are OK with it.

Bless your heart

I think you deserve in these last weeks to rest and prop your feet up. I feel for you. Take care of yourself. And I know you'll let us know when that sweet baby is born. :o)

And bless your heart again!

Take care of yourself! What a blessing that your other kids are old enough/big enough to help you so much. BE SURE to take advantage of it!

Blessings from Ohio, Kim Wolf<><

Dana or I can pass on the news! :) I cant wait to hear about him!

you cant lift laundry baskets meaning you really cant or you shouldnt? I will have to complain if I did all the laundry even when the baby was born! The only thing that is AMAZING now is living in our trailer instead of the apartment where ALyssa was born. Having the laundry right by my bedroom is wonderful. Never will i have a basement laundry set up again! NEVER!

Although I have no problem with you or Dana posting my birth announcement.. you forget I'll be birthing right here at home and can post the announcement before the cord is cut :)

As for the laundry baskets.. it's too heavy for me to carry and I can't carry it in front because my belly gets in the way. LOL

hmmmm
