The Zoo

Our first dozen

We had our first, dozen eggs in one day!!  We've been getting about 6 eggs a day for the last month.  It was a nice surprise to have a good 12 today.  We actually had 13 but one was on the floor and we won't keep those, it's very messy on the floor. There were 5 there at the morning feed and the other 8 (including the one on the floor) were there when we fed them again in the evening.

Can't wait to see how many we have tomorrow! If this keeps up we can easily sell enough to cover their feed and have extra money left over.  I have a long list of people who want our eggs and we've not had enough to sell to everyone.

Now I just need to bribe one of the kids to do the monthly big coop cleaning.  It's getting bad in there and none of the kids want to clean it.
