I just love the farmers market! I wish they had more vendors though. We went Thursday and I got a 50lb bag of corn, 25lb of pickling cukes, onions, dill, tomatoes and scallions (green onions). I also bought clover honey, raspberry honey, peanut brittle and cashew brittle. The girls shucked the corn today. I blanched, bagged and froze the corn. Hardest part was fighting the flies and trying to run the vacuum sealer while flies bit my legs... sigh. My sealer isn't working really well for some reason. I need to find the instruction book for it.
I hope to get the cucumbers pickled this weekend. I'll need to work around the older girls' busy schedule. Beccah has a party and Miriam has a BBYO get together to go to. We still need to get to Big R for fly traps and chicken feed.
I need to find someone with a riding mower or something that we can borrow. The weeds are getting too high and it's just inviting bugs to move closer to the house. I'll have DS weed whack close to the house for now.

I sent Mat out today to kill some horseflies. I'll just cry if they are thick by his party. They were late this year and they are usually gone by their bdays, but I bet not this year. Grrrrr I hope you find your sealer info!
