A Decree to Declutter

I've been reading some excellent blogs from some truly committed ladies that have decided enough is enough!  We all have such incredible ideas on how to tame that clutter once and for all but how do we find the initiative to begin the process.  Well from what I've read from these sweet dear ladies is that the tool they use is simple get up and go, once the process has begun it seems that we simply turn into a whirlwind and can't rid ourselves enough of those extras and unwanted items...and I believe my time has come, once and for all I decree to rid my sweet home of all the unwanted clutter!
I know that we all want a beautiful, neat, tidy sweet smelling lovely home for our loved ones and yet we can't seem to ever get to that point, well I believe the problem lies in our emotions, we begin and then we start feeling....overwhelmed, tired, maybe sad and we just hurt because we don't want to let go of those items that have such emotional importance to us...I have the spoons that all three of my babies starting eating solid food with and I could never let them go but as far as clothing items I have kept one little outfit from each baby and the rest have to go.  The exceptions are those items that are handmade or the ones that our kids (23,21,18) want to keep for their babies, they can stick them in their chests to take with them when they marry in the future...me keeping them all boxed up is doing no one any good and I refuse to keep items that may never be seen again...in other words if they are treasures we will treat them as such and if they're not then they go.
I'm sure that I'll have many emotions to battle but we simply have to live for this moment this day as far as keeping our homes is concerned and it's time for this girl to get going and make sure that others will say that she is a very good keeper of her home.
