Sisterhood Awards
Gabbie427's blog at www.homesteadblogger.com/gabbie427/ is just plain fun! She calls it "Mindless Jibberjabber", but it's a lot more than that! She's a woman with a heart after God who has lots of interesting stories and tips to share. So, I have joined the "Sisterhood Brigade" with my own nominations! The general premise is, you nominate 10 people, mention the ladies who nominated you, then leave a comment on your nominees' blogs. I couldn't list just 10, and I'm probably going to have to make another list! :) But here are my 11 "Sisterhood Awardees" and why I nominated them: 1. Penny at http://notnewtoautism.blogspot.com I had the blessing of meeting Penny through the Homeschool Crew. She has an amazing ability to put into words just what I'm feeling when it comes to our family living with autism. She also has a wealth of knowledge and links for help with everything from GFCF diets to homeschooling special needs helps. 2. Heather at www.homeschoolblogger.com/gfcfmomofmany This lady amazes me! Living with a chronic illness herself, she homeschools 5 children with special needs and keeps a beautiful, positive attitude and truly lets the light of Jesus shine through her. (She also has a fantastic article in TOS Magazine this month!) 3. April at www.homesteadblogger.com/elcloud/ April was one of the first people kind enough to add me to her friends when I started blogging about a year ago and had absolutely no idea what I was doing! (Still don't, most days) She patiently answers my technical questions on the Crew forum, and her blogs are so well written and personable, you feel like you're reading letters from a long distance friend. And April, you're one of the #1 Homeschool Bloggers in my book! :) 4. HopefulHeart77 at www.homesteadblogger.com/hopefulheart/ One of the first ladies to welcome me to homestead blogger, HopefulHeart 77 has been a faithful blogging friend, always stopping by, leaving nice comments. Her blog is packed full of great tips on natural cleaning and beauty products. You should see her garden pictures, too! 5. Blueyed Girl at www.homesteadblogger.com/ContentInOurChaos/ What first attracted me to this blog was the title: "Strength and Dignity Are Her Clothing." What I found here was a wonderful mom with a gentle and sweet spirit who always leaves the nicest comments at my homestead. Her kids are really cute, too! :) 6. Loretta at www.homesteadblogger.com/MimosaLane/ Loretta is my sister in the weight loss challenge! She gives me motivation and encouragement to stay in the race. She shares great tips on homesteading and organization. And she recently posted one delicious recipe for meatballs! 7. Smmagers at www.homesteadblogger.com/ThunderwolfRanch/ I am so impressed with this family. They raise and train service dogs for people with special needs. What a kind and selfless thing they are doing to help special people on this Earth. Because of what they do, I think they're special, too. 8. Meme at www.homesteadblogger.com/meme21713 This great lady is quickly becoming a dear friend! I loved her conversational, friendly blog the first time I visited. Her posts are so much fun to read and some of those recent photos really tickled my funny bone! 9. Simple Nest at www.homesteadblogger.com/thesimplenest/ I started reading her blogs to see how the home improvement process was going. She has a beautiful home and a fun blog to read. She has given me some great ideas for decorating my own home! She's becoming one of my favorites to read! 10. Hisirishgem at www.homesteadblogger.com/abundantharvesthomestead4us/ I rejoiced when I stumbled upon her other blog which is a journal through her miraculous pregnancy. She and her husband have been blessed with a gift from God and she is kind enough to journal about it and share it with all of us. When you read her journals, you will have no doubt that there is a God and He is faithful. 11. Sharondubars at www.homesteadblogger.com/turtlespringsfarm/ She has a very nice feature called "Gratituesday." Reading her uplifting posts always reminds me to be thankful for each and every little blessing God has sent my way. Speaking of blessings, you ladies are blessings to me! I thank God for you and for sharing your wonderful gifts and talents with all of us!
