Have you ever taken a photo and then noticed a blooper in it!  I guess I forgot to remove the can of pledge from my desk before we started our impromptu KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION!!

Check out the smile on this child!  He is so proud.  We had a small audience of our former daycare "friends" and I listed a few of Hunter's major accomplishments this year such as learning to read, memorizing basic addition and subtraction problems, greatly improved handwriting, and being able to summarize a story!  WOO HOO!!  HUNTER IS A FIRST GRADER!!

We are really looking forward to beginning his "Classical" education in late August after the arrival of his little sister!  I read the book A Well-Trained Mind and it has given me so much motivation on this homeschooling adventure.  We will continue reading and working out of The Ordinary Parent's Guide to Teaching Reading  over the summer!
