We woke up this morning to the ground covered in snow and it is still falling. I think we are expected to receive just over an inch total, and it is so beautiful! It is days like today that I am VERY grateful to my hard working husband who values our traditional roles and allows me to stay at home with the kiddos. My daycare mom had to get her little ones out early this morning to bring them to me. I wouldn't trade places with her for any amount of money in the world!
It has been a very mild winter for us so far. Usually by this time we have already had a couple feet of snow. The funny thing is that our forcast for Friday is rain and 60 degrees! This is the first year that I am actually prepared for snow days when all the kids are home from school. By that I mean that we have projects planned and ready to complete. Brandon is going to work on a geneology project and Emily will complile a family cookbook. I think it will be fun for them and it is something they will be able to keep forever. I don't have anything ready for Hunter yet, but since he is homeschooled, he will have to keep up with his regular work. I think I might buy some fleece and let him make a no-sew blanket.
Speaking of Hunter, I need to go and get him out of bed so he can start his morning chores. He will stay in bed until 11 or 12 if I let him! Can't say that I blame him on a day like today though. If I didn't have other children, I would just curl up beside him and sleep too!
