![]() It is a cool, but sunny day here in Michigan again. Unfortunately, it does not look like the image above. No snow. No snow in the middle of December! I hope it does snow soon, I like the snow. Having lived in the U.P. I actually miss it :). I can't believe it's been a week already since posting. The week just flew by as did the weekend. Saturday I was feeling a bit under the weather, as if the flu was on the verge of striking. Thankfully DH took care of Mr. Bubbers as I rested and got in plenty of fluids and vitamin C and zinc that day. Sunday was equally as frustrating as DH had to spend nearly the whole day working on this insurance claim form for our homebirth to see if we could get a refund for the costs. Oy. Anyways... it is a new week and there is much to do as always. Lets start off with a menu: Monday: Italian Pinto beans and cucumber salad Tuesday: Salmon Patties and coleslaw Wednesday: Either a crockpot roast or beef stew Thursday: Tostadas with all the fixings Friday: Perhaps beans and cornbread (depending on if I make it to the store or not) Well yesterday was Mr. Bubbers and my first outing together alone really. We went to Babies R Us for a bottle cooler to take with when I do take him out and then we went to the used baby stuff store for a few new sets of pajamas. I got 4 footed pajamas in 3-6 month size for about $12. Of course by the time I got to the check out of the second store he was in a screaming rage because he hates being put back in his carseat. He did fall asleep on the way home, which was nice. We are into the crying it out stage with him. He has a really hard time letting himself fall asleep when he gets tired and proceeds to scream and scream and is unable to be consoled. He won't eat, he won't be held and he won't be rocked. So finally I have just put him down in his crib or swing and let him fuss it out until he gives in and closes his eyes to sleep. And then he wakes up happy as if nothing happened lol. The good news is he is sleeping for about a 5 hour stretch at night and then will sleep for a couple of 2 or 3 hour stretches after that. That makes mommy and daddy very happy. Today I need to: *Get caught up on laundry *Make a large supply of salmon patties *Make coleslaw *Pick up and clean a bit *Perhaps bake some carob chip scones, we'll see about this one I may post a recipe or two later on... we'll see. Take care. { Post a Comment } { Last Page } { Page 30 of 56 } { Next Page } |
