Update on Weekend

I really don't have time for this, but want to give a quick update to those concerned and/or wondering.  My husband's appointment yesterday went well.  They found and biopsied a small polyp and inflamed area, but we have no real results/report yet.  Basically all is the same at this point other than the examining doctor was not tremendously concerned by what he saw.  We just wait now.  But husband is very encouraging to my faith right now by his confident reliance on God regardless of the outcome.  God has, I think, really solidified in him a need to trust, to seek His Kingdom and glory, and not try to control God or his circumstances to his own ends.  I thank God for His work in us and for His glory!

Also, the anniversary party/weekend went very well.  We were absolutely exhausted by the end, but it was all we could have hoped.  So many family members came that it felt like a family reunion as well as anniversary party.  We had well over a hundred guests go thru in 4 hours, and in spite of the cloudy, cool, rainy day, inside their garage was bright, warm, and LOUD!   My in-laws were very honored.  And my work cooking all week for it was well-appreciated and complimented which made the tiredness much more bearable.   (People kept saying I should have a bed-and-breakfast, but, while I love the "breakfast" part, I wouldn't enjoy the "bed" part -- strangers in your home, tied down, mmm I don't know, but it just doesn't appeal to me.)  We had cake, honey-cinnamon roasted almonds, cream cheese mints, a cheese & cracker platter, punch, and coffee available at the open house; then my mother-in-law and I collaborated on a dinner that evening, a brunch Sunday morning, and lunch after church for the family that remained.  Basically, we spent 2 days eating and talking.  While it was wonderful, we were VERY ready for Monday morning's return to normal life!

About Me

Whoso loves believes the impossible.
--Elizabeth Barrett Browning

We are not called to get love,
but to give unstintingly and joyously,
life-giving agape love to those the Lord has surrounded us with.

Yay! I'm a daisy, my favorite flower!!

I am a
Daisy

What Flower
Are You?

Just as a flashlight draws power from its batteries,
we draw power from the Son of God.
As light, we dissipate fear, bring relief and lift spirits.
We don't even have to be big to be effective.
We just have to be "on".
Today, let's pursue that which is good,
right and truthful by shining through darkened circumstances.
Don't keep the switch off
or hold back as though our batteries have run down.
Our source is the glorious

"Light Invisible."

Being switched on pleases the Lord.
Stay on.
Stay bright.
