Prayer Request

Psalm 46:10-11 and Psalm 48:14   (tossed in a bowl and mixed up together)

Cease striving and know that I am God.  For such a God is our God forever and ever.  The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold.  He will guide us until death.

Please pray for us.  My husband has Crohn's Disease (since he was 13yo) and a spinal chord injury (since he was 18yo).  He is a walking miracle because he has beat the odds so many times in so many ways.  Now for more than a month he has had colorectal bleeding.  There is a strong likelihood of colon cancer.  He has a colonoscopy scheduled for this coming Tuesday, May 8th.  Then I don't know when we'll know the results.  God has been preparing me for this for the last couple of years, but it's still extraordinarily difficult -- for both my husband and myself.  Right now it's also very stressful since we are preparing for a very busy weekend with my in-law's (who live next door) 50th anniversary party and many out-of-town guests.  God knew long before we got here what would happen and how things would go; I lean on Him, knowing He goes before me, behind me, and on all sides.  And I rejoice that this trial will produce patience (James 1), which I desperately need!  But I covet your prayers...

About Me

Whoso loves believes the impossible.
--Elizabeth Barrett Browning

We are not called to get love,
but to give unstintingly and joyously,
life-giving agape love to those the Lord has surrounded us with.

Yay! I'm a daisy, my favorite flower!!

I am a
Daisy

What Flower
Are You?

Just as a flashlight draws power from its batteries,
we draw power from the Son of God.
As light, we dissipate fear, bring relief and lift spirits.
We don't even have to be big to be effective.
We just have to be "on".
Today, let's pursue that which is good,
right and truthful by shining through darkened circumstances.
Don't keep the switch off
or hold back as though our batteries have run down.
Our source is the glorious

"Light Invisible."

Being switched on pleases the Lord.
Stay on.
Stay bright.
