Thoughts on Seasons; Cake pict

Cold and flurries today.  I love it!  I love coming in from a walk with the kids with rosy cheeks and noses, shaking off the briskness from outside.  Or watching the new kinds of birds visiting our feeder.  I love looking at my barren gardens and full pantry shelves, and having the luxory of time to rest while dreaming up next year's garden.  I love the changes each season brings.  Yes, winter eventually grows long and cold; summer, long and hot; spring and fall never seem long enough.  But I love the variety of seasons.

Jed's birthday party was a success, including the cake.  It, surprisingly, came out looking very much like pictures I'd seen online.  Here it is:

We had a good time, and enjoyed celebrating my son's 5th year.  He sure is wonderful!

About Me

Whoso loves believes the impossible.
--Elizabeth Barrett Browning

We are not called to get love,
but to give unstintingly and joyously,
life-giving agape love to those the Lord has surrounded us with.

Yay! I'm a daisy, my favorite flower!!

I am a
Daisy

What Flower
Are You?

Just as a flashlight draws power from its batteries,
we draw power from the Son of God.
As light, we dissipate fear, bring relief and lift spirits.
We don't even have to be big to be effective.
We just have to be "on".
Today, let's pursue that which is good,
right and truthful by shining through darkened circumstances.
Don't keep the switch off
or hold back as though our batteries have run down.
Our source is the glorious

"Light Invisible."

Being switched on pleases the Lord.
Stay on.
Stay bright.
