I recently signed up for Simplicity's e-newsletter, hoping it would get me sewing.  The most recent one, tho, is not very inspiring.  I took one look and thought, "Oh, puh-leeease!"

All you baby-wearers out there, make way for the dogs!

I'm a farm-girl and animal lover, but this is just waaaayy over the top!

I am a dog lover... but not a dog wearer... The bag is cute. I love bags... I have been in the sewing mood too. Remember in the 80's when tube skirts were so popular? I am looking for rib knit to make some of those up but I want it to be heavy rib knit...so far no luck.

Is this a sling dog carrier???? I made a baby sling after having our third...but for a dog????I just picked up some material today! I'm going to attempt cloth diapers and wipes for our two youngest! What are you interested in sewing?
Blessings,
Kelley

It's hard to tell, but it sure looks like a sling to me.
I have some slacks I want to attempt making into skirts, and tons of material I want to figure out ways to use. I've also been watching Amanda Siemens postings on diaper-making and have been interested, but I'm not sure I want to do the washing out. Silly, I know, but eewww some of those baby diapers can be really something!

slings for cats

I made a doll-sling for my girls. I think the kittens have spent more time in it than the doll. But who can blame them, the kittens snuggle so much better than the doll.

We are not called to get love,
but to give unstintingly and joyously,
life-giving agape love to those the Lord has surrounded us with.

Yay! I'm a daisy, my favorite flower!!

I am a
Daisy

What Flower
Are You?

Just as a flashlight draws power from its batteries,
we draw power from the Son of God.
As light, we dissipate fear, bring relief and lift spirits.
We don't even have to be big to be effective.
We just have to be "on".
Today, let's pursue that which is good,
right and truthful by shining through darkened circumstances.
Don't keep the switch off
or hold back as though our batteries have run down.
Our source is the glorious

"Light Invisible."

Being switched on pleases the Lord.
Stay on.
Stay bright.
