In honor of today being Dessert Day and Thursday, I decided to list 13 favorite desserts.

1. Cheesecake (or cheese pie, or pretty much anything with cream cheese in it.

2. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

3. Ice cream (doesn't matter, the flavor, so long as it's cold and hard)

4. Lemon cake ...or pie ...or drops

5. Squash pudding with gingersnap crumbles (mmmm! it's like pumpkin pie without crust)

6. Zucchini brownies

7. Warm chocolate chip cookies

8. Oatmeal creme pies (Little Debbie's are good, but homemade are even better!)

9. Raspberry Cream Muffins

10. Fresh strawberry pie (especially if you just picked the strawberries yourself...at my parents farm)

11. Mixed fruit cobbler

12. Pineapple Upside Down Cake

13. Christmas cookies

As light, we dissipate fear, bring relief and lift spirits.
We don't even have to be big to be effective.
We just have to be "on".
Today, let's pursue that which is good,
right and truthful by shining through darkened circumstances.
Don't keep the switch off
or hold back as though our batteries have run down.
