Have the Fortitude to say "No Bible Believing Christians Allowed"

Hello All,

I belong to about 20+ forums out on the internet dealing primarily with Homesteading. Many of you have read my intro, which is the same one I use all over. It says who I am, what I believe and I make no excuses.

In several of the forums, I basically have been black balled because I am a bible believing, stand on the Word Christian. Not for any other reason, just on my faith alone.

People take offence to me being a Bible Believing Christian.

To be honest, that is no problem and really does not hurt my feelings. But after a while it dawned on me. These forums allow all kinds of other religious talk (paganism, Hindu, Buddhist ect). They are allowed to exchange their views and never are they censored. Why is it that I am? I thought that I was just being like everyone else and talking about my love for the Lord much like the pagan loves the goddess.

Well I was wrong.

I tell you this because I have come to the conclusion that it is my beliefs that many have a problem with, and in all actuality, Forums and people need to have the fortitude to come out and say in their rules.. "No Bible Believing Christians Allowed."

Just recently I was once again censored from a forum that allows you to sell your goods, services and wears from the homestead. They took great offence to me and my bible believing ways and the one item I had for sale, my CD about living in God’s Economy and teaching “how to.”

Here is the email I was sent….

Ray:

Not every homesteader is a Christian.  That's the first problem with your post.  We have other faiths here and some with no faith.  We just don't discuss religion on this group.

You may well be a homesteader and have a lot to contribute but I don't like the "in your face" religious stuff.  I have never had to do this before but because of your post I have now added this new "rule" to the welcome/rules post.

Please:  no discussion of religion.  Period.  Discussions of religion lead to differences of opinion.  We aren't all one faith on this group and I don't want any hurt feelings.

Here is how I responded...

Hello __________ (Name withheld to protect what ever),

Please correct yourself. You know as well as I do that there are posts and items dealing with Halloween, a high Wiccan holiday. Solstice, a pagan holiday that takes place 4 times a year (major and minor), as well as items with a Buddhist and Hindu ideology and practice behind them for sale.

To state "no religion" is not correct. You are annexing me and those like me because I am a bible believing Christian and wish to also discuss freely what we practice.  You allow other religions and religious discussion by allowing all of those mentioned above. This is hypocrisy and intolerant on your part. You need to be truthful to people and say "No Bible Believing Christian Discussion will be tolerated. All others are allowed.”

We used to be a nation of true diversity, now all other religions can discuss their views freely except Christianity because it "is in your face."

This is the same thing that the Nazis said in the early 1940 regarding another religious group, the Jews... How they dealt with their "hurt feelings" was simple. It was called the gas chamber.

You need to face the fact that you are a bigot when faced with a bible believing Christian.  I also define the term so as not to be confused with some run of the mill wanna be "christian" in name only. There is also nothing wrong with this choice of yours, you just need to be truthful.  If this is what you choose to be, then I respect your choice, but stop hiding behind a broad brush terms like "religion."  Everyone has a religion, and many freely express it, just like you have. Yours is just one of intolerance towards a bible believing Christian.

Are you finding this happening to you or am I the lone guy on the block in this manner??

In His Service,

Ray

I do believe you are absolutely right, but I would ask you one favour - the internet and homesteading groups don't belong to the USA!
I am a Bible Believeing Christian, too, and I so support what you say, I have been discriminated against also for speaking up for what we believe - but I am not in the USA, nor am I an American! - so please, let us recognise that it is not 'this country of ours' it is 'this world, of His'.
Satan loves to re-inforce national boundaries. That's how he causes wars.
The Earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof, and we Bible believing christians should stick together. What ever our nation.

Many Blessings

Jackie

Way to go!
Any name in the entire universe can be mentioned without as much as a comment, as long as it isn't the name of Jesus Christ. Isn't this confirmation that He is truly the only way!?!

Great post!

I am glad you stood up to yourself and you beliefs. If God is part of your homestead than you should be able to post about Him.

All I can say is "AMEN" and good for you. I think plain and simple, people are afraid to face what the bible has to say about how they live their lives, so they want us to keep our months shut. Oh well.

WOW Totally agree

You are correct. It's ok to talk about *religion* or even other *faiths*. But if you rise up and speak from the Word of God, and then have the Faith to STAND on it.........watch out.
Everyone likes the 'fluffy feel good junk'. Everyone wants this "kume-by-ya" feel good all inclusive junk....well all except those who Believe in Jesus!!
You are right.....but this comes as no surprise, as God's Word has told us "they will hate us".
Laura

talk about Jesus

I am on a simple living discussion thing. A couple times I mentioned the Lord, the Bible, how Abraham chose to live in Mamre under the Oaks like the simple living people do - no reply. When I first mentioned my faith & another Christian responded, someone asked us to take our discussion elsewhere. They believe in various meditations and Eastern religions. I think it's better to just leave them alone. Jill

Sadly that garbage is too prevalent these days.
They say empty vessels make the most noise....how true is that when you see some of the Christian things that get attacked, yet the other myriad of religious groups get a pat on the back for sharing comments.
I'm glad to see it doesn't put a bee in your bonnet so to speak....that alone gives you more "power" than they have.
