Introduction To Wisdom Farms

Welcome To Wisdom Farms

My name is Ray Gano and my wife, kids (homeschooled) and I live out in the Texas Hill Country on a 400 acre ranch. We rent a house on the ranch and do not own it. But we get full use of the ranch including hunting and fishing (no deer)

We are in the ministry and run a rather large website dealing with bible prophecy and world events. God is the one who completely provides for our families needs. Our ministry is our primary form how God provides for our family.

We also have multiple streams of income coming in from our homesteading endeavors and websites.

We go to a independent fundamental Baptist church which still teaches from the King James Version of the Bible and we still sing the old hymns from the hymnals.

I have several goals in the production of this blog.

I feel that time is short and that now more than ever we much be a light in the darkness and share the gospel. Because I preach and promote a Pre-Trib Rapture, many feel that I maintain a “rose colored” glasses outlook on life. I do not in the least. In fact, I as well as many others in the ministry have been seeing a “change” in the environment. More and more the world is becoming hostile towards bible believing Christians. I as well as many other ministries feel that if the Lord tarries, the need for self sufficiency and a form of  “underground / home based” church is going to be needed.

Many Christians have forgotten many of the skills needed to be self sufficient such as canning, drying food, butchering, gardening, and the list goes on and on. Many people do not even know where to start because the task is so over whelming, so the natural thing to do is instantly give up.

We have several bible verses that are our “mission statement”

1Peter 3:15 (KJV) But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Ephesians 6:13 (KJV) Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Luke 19:13 (KJV)  And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

Proverbs 3:5 (KJV) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

With the current hostility towards Christians, can you see a head of household loosing his job just because he is a Christian? Maybe that person took their bible to work and because of that, got fired. What if that person prayed over their lunch and got fired. This has happened many times in history, and is taking place in many places in today’s world. Remember the Jews during WW2? I feel this is the direction our nation and in fact the world is going. We as Christians need to have a Plan B and a Plan C.

This is where we hope to help, through what we have learned throughout the years.

Welcome to Wisdom Farms

In His Service,

Ray Gano

Welcome to homestead blogger! I enjoyed your first post and will add you to my friends list so that I am able to read more of your posts.
Our family has been trying to get back on track living a Biblical lifestyle and learning to be more reliant on Him than on the world. I think you'll find lots of folks here in the same position.
Anyway, welcome and I look forward to reading more.
Vicki

Welcome, Welcome, I am very eager to hear all that you have to say. I agree 100% with what you are saying about the times that are coming. We too are getting as close to self sufficient as we can.
Blessings,
Trixi

This is a good description of what I've been thinking. We, too, are trying to live a simpler, debt-free life. To be able to support our family and help others. May I add you to my friends?
