Quick Post

Posted in Around the Homestead

well, I know that I haven't been a good blogger...again.  We have been so busy.  So here is quick recap.
The ducks and geese are now with the big chickens.  The newest baby chicks are growing fast, and doing just fine.
Jose, got out of the yard and is at the neighbors harassing their horses.
We have a 90% chance of snow tonight, and I have to take the older boys to a meat quality assurance class for 4-H.  I hope that the snow waits until we are home safe and sound.
Brandon got called into work...which is why I have to take the boys in the van. LOL
Our Pope is here!  We are all excited about that.  I wish that we could go and see him!  Oh, and Raymond Arroyo  did an interview with President George Bush, and it was wonderful.  You can go and watch it at Living His Life Abundantly.  Just that I would share this!
Our church is now officially a parish.  We were made one on Sunday, April 13th.  That day was one of joy and sadness.  My Granddad passed away 16 years ago on that day.  May he rest in peace.
We are actually beginning to see some green grass!  Spring is here...well despite the snow!  LOL
God Bless!

Sorry to hear about Lilac. I saw you had a bday coming up on MySpace. How could I have forgotten that Jake was born on your birthday? Hope you have a good one. Enjoy news from your family and farm. Just updated the blog about cosleeping and thought of you. Miss you all.

We joined El Paso county after getting less than desirable results here. We had to drive all the way to Calhan for the meat assurance and poultry clinic two weekends in a row. Our chicks have all their feathers and are out in the coop now. The ducks are still indoors. Do your ducks and chicks get along? Ours didn't seem to when we let them together briefly. Mabey we are doing something wrong. If I can house them together that would be terrific.
