No news yet...

Posted in Around the Homestead

which I am telling myself that no news is good news.  I don't  know how long it takes to complete the test, but hopefully we know soon.
I have settled down some.  I mean this can be treated with a supplement so it is really going to be fine either way.  It is just the waiting that is killing me.  I just want to know if it is yes or no.  Plus, if it is a yes I would like to get her started on the biotin supplements so she doesn't have any seizures, or any other problems.  Like I said, it is the waiting that is hard.
I have some pictures that I will put up either later on tonight or tomorrow.  They are of Wesley Thomas milking Lilac.
Lilac is doing well.  She has adjusted to being here with us.  She is such a sweet cow.  We have turned her out and are letting her dry up so she can have some time off before her baby is born.  All mama's need a break now and then.  She has befriended Jane, the horse, and Jane's son.  I don't know what his name is as he is our friends colt.  Anyway, she seems happy here with us.  It is so cute to tell her hello and have her moo back at us.  This morning when I went out to feed the animals she was making such a racket, and then when I gave her hay she was happy as could be!  She has 40 acres, but she wanted some hay!  Oh, it cracked me up.
We just found out that my husband's step grandfather passed away last week.  For those of you that are Catholic or not, please pray for the repose of his soul.  His name was Fate, and he was such a wonderful, kind, and loving man.  The last time we saw him he told us that we had a wonderful and beautiful family.  He will be greatly missed.  Also, if you could please pray for his son and grandchildren.  I imagine that this is very hard on them as they lost his mother many years ago.
Well, I am off to get the children...let me rephrase that...I am off to TRY to get the children to bed.  Wish me luck.
God Bless, and thank you all for your prayers.  We really do appreciate it.
