New Critters

Posted in Critters Big and Small

Well, there was an ad in the newspaper about puppies.  Border Collies to be exact, and well...Brandon decided that we just had to get one.  So, we have a female puppy that has no name.  We have no idea what we are going to call her, but she is sweet.  She is also very cute.  She is black and white, and just a tiny little thing.  We are keeping her outside during the day, but we bring her in at night.  I know I need to get some pictures so you can all see what she looks like.  I will try to do that tomorrow.
Our other Border Collie is still in Texas.  His name is Jose, and according the to children he will come home to a wife.  I wonder if he will like his bride?
We also have some barn cats, and I have very happy to have them.  The mice had taken over after we left to go back to Texas.  We have a total of 6 a mama, her 3 babies, and 2 others that are a few weeks older than the little ones.  They are all so cute, and the kids are having a blast repopulating our little homestead with much needed animals.
The next thing we are going to add is a Jersey milking cow!  I can hardly wait to get this animal.  I don't know when we will get her, but I have a feeling it won't be until after the baby is born.  Brandon doesn't want to miss out on the birth of his 7th child.
Things are starting to move forward on our little family farm, and I am going to enjoy every minute of it!

Welcome to homestead blogger! I hope you enjoy your blogging here. This is a wonderful community........ it's nice to know there are still traditional, conservative Roman Catholics out there.... I grew up Roman Catholic ~ although I have long since joined another church ~ it's nice to know that there are still some that do live their religion. So many don't........
I look forward to visiting you again!

Blessings,
Gloria
