Hot Days
Well, it seems that the heat has finally stuck the little homestead.  It was 91 degrees today.  We turned on the ac around 10am, and about 30 min. ago(7 pm) we opened the windows back up.  So, it was really too hot, at least for us, to go outside until about a hour ago.
Taylor went out to work with Jane and has been riding her for about an hour.
I went outside to water the garden.  I have to say it is so dry out here, and our garden just isn't doing how it should.  This is when I wish we had irrigation or that we were back in Texas.  It doesn't help that we don't have the best soil in the world.  Maybe next year the soil will be better.  Then again perhaps we should just do square foot gardening.  Well, at least the pumpkins are still growing.  :)
It looks like some dark clouds are making their way to our place, and the wind is blowing.  Please let us have a bit of rain God.  We could really use some more.
My brother, Doug, and his girlfriend, Sarah, will be visiting us on Sunday!  We are all so excited and can hardly wait.  They will go back to Texas on Wednesday.  They will be flying into the Colorado Springs airport.   It will be so nice to see them.
We have actually had a few visitors this summer.  Brandon's Granny Barbara came out a few weeks ago along with his cousin Zach.  Then a few days later we saw his Aunt Lisa, Uncle Troy, and his cousin Laurel.
Tristen won a $100 gift card to Best Buy, so we took him to get a Wii.  Brandon's Aunt and Uncle even pitched in some extra money so the kids could get one.  It was very nice of them to do that, and I have to say that everyone is enjoying the Wii.
Gabriella is getting to be quite the crawler.  I believe that she will be walking sooner than we realize.  Brandon keeps telling her that she thinks she is such a big girl, and she just gives him the biggest smile...as if to say,"Yes sir, I am."
Teresa, is talking more and more.  The other day she came up asking me where Baby Lala's baba was.  It was just so cute and clear.
Wesley Thomas' eczema is doing much better, and he is getting so big.
Tyme is expressing his ideas to us every day.  He is making plans for this or that.
Trinity, is getting taller!  I do believe that she is going to be much taller than her short mom!  She wants to learn how to sew, so I think a trip to the fabric store is in order.
Taylor told me that he is going to work with Jane everyday, which is good.  He says he still wants to train horses so this will help him out.
Tristen has enough money to buy a mustang...a horse...not the car.  I don't know if Taylor is going to buy one as well, but the two of them are going to train the horse together.
I am looking at ways to save money.  With the change in our diet, we are now gluten free, things are a bit more expensive.  So, I have been visiting some frugal boards and what not to learn the tricks of the trade.
I am looking at coupons, although to be honest most of what is out there we can not have due to allergies.  So, I am looking at getting deals at Walgreens on things like toothpaste, shampoo, toilet paper, etc.  I think that this is where I will be saving the most money.  I wish we didn't have gulten issues...then we could eat cheaply.  LOL  Oh, well that is just the way it goes.
One of our cats is MIA...I think the coyotes may have...well had her for dinner.  Poor thing, but thank God that we have several others.
Well, I guess that is all for now.  May God Bless you all abundantly.
