I went in for my post-op visit today. It wasn't exactly as I had hoped. See, my voice is still rather raspy. In the past I have had a very clear voice post op except for my surgery in January of 2003. After that surgery I ended up not being able to speak well for 4 month. I went to speech therapy twice a week for two months. It was very trying. Well, I don't think I am in the same boat this time. At least I hope not. The doctor gave me a script for acid reflux. I went through this the last time I had surgery to remove the papalloma. So, he did not look at my vocal cords today. I will go back in about 4 weeks. He will look at my cords then. In the meantime, I am to take the meds and take it easy on my voice. I am doing all that I have been told to do. Please continue to pray that I heal properly. Thank you so much for all your kind comments. They have meant so much to me.

I just wanted to let you know I'm praying for you...I usually have chronic asthmatic bronchitis every fall/winter, so I understand voice issues...but to have to not speak at all must really be trying!!! Why dont you get a large cooking utensil and a huge pan and just go around hitting that pan as hard as you can...see if that helps relieve frustration??? I don't know, it may just get your family to put you on some crazy pills! ANYWAY, I am not taking your post-op half-heartedly, only trying to give you something to smile about...I pray you have a full and quick recovery from here on out!

Wow, I didn't know you had actually had this same surgery before. This must be very tiring to go through this again, and the waiting must be torturous! Please do as the doctor says and we will all continue to pray for you dear!
