We spent the whole day at the farm. We are slowly transitioning to the farm. Today, a few bantams headed out to help keep the turkey poults company. I spent most of the day sleeping. I worked a 10.5 hour shift last night and have a sinus infection. It kicked my butt today. Thank goodness everyone else was feeling fine so I could sleep. I'm feeling better tonight.
Rich and Madison got the fencing up for the broiler chickens. They will get to go outside for the first time tomorrow. I'm so excited to be able to have them out on pasture.
Rich also tilled up a garden plot for me. I managed to drag myself outside to show him what I was thinking of for size. All I really told him was.. it needs to be at least as big as the one I have in town (25 ft by 25 ft). Well, a couple hours later I went to check on his progress.. ok, the garden is at least 2 times what I have in town.. possibly 3 times as big. So, I think I will need to do some more seed shopping! I also need to freshen up my memory on companion planting.
Ok, I better get to bed, I'm still tired eventhough I slept most of the day!
