Rich and I processed 12 chickens today. Only 23 left to go! Unfortunately, it sounds like rainy weather is coming so I'm hoping to get as many done as we can before we get more rain.
Rich said today that we have gotten over 2 1/2 inches of rain over the last few days! With all the rain, there is pond now in the cattle pasture that the ducks are taking full advantage of.
Speaking of ducks, Mama Duck is still sitting on her nest of eggs. She quacks happily and wags her tail at you when you walk by and say hello. Rich truly believes I'm nuts for talking to our critters but I do it all the time. It doesn't matter if they have 2 or 4 legs or fins, I talk to them all.

Our new cattle are settling in nicely. When I want to see them, all I need to do is call for Caitlin and when she starts to come, the rest follow. I think they have learned it worth coming up to the fence, there is usually treats involved! I removed a bunch of green bean and pepper plants today so that was today's treat. They sure did enjoy munching away on the folliage.
Here's a picture of 5 of the 6 new highlanders:

Well, I best get supper on the table. Everyone is hungry!
