I forgot to mention in yesterday's note that Madison has 29 new chicks peeping in our living room.  She is very pleased with the hatch.  She only lost one in hatching.  We think another chick turned the egg causing the pip hole to be down in the incubator and he died, still in the shell.

Aren't they just the cutest!  I just can't get enough of baby chicks.  Its starting to get pretty cool here so these little fellows will be in the house for a bit.  Rich is building a brooder box (which is sitting at home in town).  Once he has it completed, these little ones will call it home in the brooder house.  According to the plans, it is suppose to keep chicks warm even when its freezing.  We'll see if it works.
