From Town to Country: A Wife's Tale

OK.. Teresa asked a question on yesterday's blog about my sauce maker.  What I have is the Sauce Master by NorPro.  I found it in Mills Fleet Farm when I found my canner.  It was about $50.  Here's a picture of it in the box:

It has several different screens you can buy for various different fruits... that what caught my eye as we have a vineyard and I can get a grape screen for it to make juice!  We won't have grapes for a couple years but if it works as well for grapes and it does for tomatoes, I'll be a very happy camper.  The screen it comes with is for apples and tomatoes.  The only thing that would make it better is a motor, lol.

As far as your other question, Teresa, I do believe that tomato with the ridges is a pineapple tomato.  Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe I'm right.   Its quite tasty and I love how it looks.  This is the first year I've had the plant or tried the fruit.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, Teresa.  I hope I answered your questions.
Carol

I use one of these also, for doing persimmon pulp. I'll be getting it out for that in a few weeks.

You did answer my questions! Thank you. I am now going to give a link to my parents as it looks like something they really need.

Thanks so much for sharing and for visiting my blog, too.

About Me

We've been working on the family farm for 3 years trying to get it back to a working farm. The farm was neglected for 15+ years before we took it on. The summer of 2008 is our family's first experience living in the country, so began our journey from town to country...
