From Town to Country: A Wife's Tale

• Thursday, August 28, 2008 - What is it?

Posted in Day to Day

I have a quick moment to write while the homemade pizza is baking.  Earlier today I finished the back to school shopping for Madison.  She still needed a backpack and shoes.  I'm glad we were able to get that done so I can now concentrate on my tomatoes that are slowly ripening in the garden.

Most of the afternoon was spent helping Madison with her 4H records.  She really doesn't like writing so she struggles but she got about 1/4 of it done.  We'll do more tomorrow.

I have a question...  Austin came home from work with this:

Anyone has any idea what it is?  I thought it was a gourd but its not.  He says you eat it and its delicious.

Carol

About Me

We've been working on the family farm for 3 years trying to get it back to a working farm. The farm was neglected for 15+ years before we took it on. The summer of 2008 is our family's first experience living in the country, so began our journey from town to country...
