This is from my journal at the farm. Its probably a late entry. I may make several entries a day to try to keep up with the backlog of entries I have.
Madison's incubator eggs began hatching today. Actually one hatched overnight and 3 more hatched during the day. There are 4 more eggs pipping tonight so by morning I suspect we will have a few more chicks. Its fun to watch these tiny creatures work so hard to get out of that shell.

Mike was back again today to cut grass in an unusable area near the creek. He tried to cut the grass in the CRP land that expired last year but it was too rough. So after some creative thinking, Rich and him decided that they could possibly pasture Mike's heifers out there since the land is organic. Mike runs an organic dairy and its hard to find organic land around here. So after he makes a few phone calls about the land, they are hoping to get the fence up in a week or so. I'd love to see a small herd of cows out there grazing.
