This is from my journal at the farm. Its probably a late entry. I may make several entries a day to try to keep up with the backlog of entries I have.

We processed 9 broilers today before it got too warm outside.  I think I counted 17 remaining birds. I can't wait to get them all done!  They are dressing out at 7+ lbs.  What some beautiful birds.  I have another 100 birds coming this week or next.  I still need to clean out the brooder house as we moved Madison's fair broilers to pasture today.

A neighbor, Nick, dropped by this afternoon.  He and Rich went out to stake out another portion of pasture.  Rich says the east pasture will be grazed throughly in 2 weeks so we need to open another area.  This new area was in crop production last year but we took it out of production this year as we knew it would be needed for grazing but we were hoping it wouldn't be needed until fall.
