This is from my journal at the farm. Its probably a late entry. I may make several entries a day to try to keep up with the backlog of entries I have.
Most of today was spent cleaning up after yesterday's storm. We got up early and started sawing and hauling, attempting to find my garden some where beneath the branches.
Here's is the tree on the garden:

And here is the garden after about 1 hour of work:

I think we were fairly lucky that the plants were still small. I lost a brandywine tomato plant but I think the rest will make it.
Rich made quick work out of the other tree that fell in the poultry pen. Unfortunately, he was unable to move the trunk, even though the rootball was out the ground. He ended up breaking his towing chain twice before deciding to "re-plant" the trunk and leaning it up against another, hopefully, stronger tree.
We also had a visit from a lovely family here this afternoon from Wisconsin to purchase a couple of rabbits. They put down a deposit on 3 bunnies and will be back on Sunday to pick them up on ther way back home to Hudson. I can now boast we have sold bunnies out of state, lol.
