This is from my journal at the farm. Its probably a late entry. I may make several entries a day to try to keep up with the backlog of entries I have.:
We got a call from neighbors. They asked Rich if we were missing a goat. Seems a little goat showed up in their dairy barn this am. It was laying in a manger but spooking the cows in the barn. We are the only ppl they knew of with goats. So off we went to count the herd. Of course, they had to be out in the east pasture in the far corner! Yep, all 15 goats present and accounted for.
Rich gave a sigh, glad to see his fencing is working. LOL My thought was, what's a single goat doing wondering around. They don't do that.
Anyway, Rich called Diane back and said ours are here but we would gladly take the goat off their hands and contact the Humane Society since we work closely with them on farm animals. She said to please come and pick up the goat as she has called everyone and no one claims its theirs. We traveled about 3 miles to their place and found a cute little doeling tied up to a milk tank. She was very scared but settled down once Rich held her. She has been dehorned but not tattoed. I would guess, born this spring. I dont know what breed she is. Here's a picture of her:

Madison named her Snickers. She is getting along with the herd just fine. Our young goats took to her right away and they were off playing goat games. I kind of hope no one claims her.
