Be Keepers

Of the Word, Of the Way

~"I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth."~ 3 John 1:4 ~~

About Me:

Welcome!
I am a wife of 23 yrs. to a hard working husband,
mother to 7 wonderful, amazing children,
a home educator,
raised in the city,
new to living in the country,
an adopted child of God
desiring to live and walk in His ways.
Here is my blog
with some of that journey
and the lessons I'm learning
along the Way.

Win a Hamilton Beach® Stand Mixer Contest

{ 02:32, 13 January 2008 } { Posted in Contests } { 0 comments } { Link }

Enter to win at MyWoodenSpoonDOTcom

A Cowboy’s Wife is having a contest on her food blog! You can win a Hamilton Beach® Stand Mixer and she’ll ship anywhere so everyone is eligible!

The Prize:

Hamilton Beach 4.5-qt. Eclectrics Stand Mixer, Pineapple Yellow

The winner will receive a brand new
Hamilton Beach 4.5-qt. Eclectrics Stand Mixer, Pineapple Yellow
!!

About the mixer:

From Hamilton Beach’s “Eclectrics” line, this all-metal stand mixer comes with a host of accessories - a Flat Beater for cakes and cookies, a Dough Hook for bread and a Wire Whisk for whipped cream or pudding. The 4.5-qt. stainless steel bowl comes with a Pouring Shield that helps prevent splattering while in operation. The pouring shield has a built-in chute for adding ingredients. Powered by 400 watts, the stand mixer has a two-way mixing action to ensure all ingredients are incorporated into the mix. The quick-release, tilt-up head assists when removing the bowl. 9 x 14 x 14-in. When you’re ready for a kitchen re-do, don’t call in the carpenters! Instead, “counterscape” your kitchen with Hamilton Beach’s retro-designed, affordably priced electrics in happy, sun-saturated colors. Their “Eclectrics” line includes updates to those classic appliances from the 1950s. All of their “Eclectrics” are available in six colors: Apple Green, Moroccan Red, Pineapple Yellow, Intrigue Blue, Sugar White and Licorice Black.

This would go well with my new found "Joy of Cooking" !

Thank you Lori for hosting this Contest!

Received My Prize!

{ 12:22, 3 November 2007 } { Posted in Contests } { 1 comments } { Link }

I have not been blogging lately so this is a little late but,....

My gift came in the mail from Kitty'sThanks-for-Giving Giveaway, yay!
We actually got it earlier this week,
and my family members started "claiming" things right after I opened the box, ha!

My oldest daughter wants the recipe box, and
one of the cookbooks.
My other kids claimed the beads and
this little plastic crawfish dude toy
(which isn't in the picture, I think someone already nabbed him.)
My hubby thought the candle in the jar,
which says "Pumpkin Bread" on the label
was actually some kind of pre-made mix for the recipe,
and wondered whyit looked so orange, ha!
We all love it.
Thanks again, Kitty!

:)

Yay for the Homesteading Carnival!

{ 07:08, 15 October 2007 } { Posted in Contests } { 2 comments } { Link }

I don't particularly like carnivals,
but the Homesteading Carnival
is an exception.
Jocelyn did an amazing job of putting this one together,
with wonderful little tidbits from various people's blogs
on our lovely little blogging site,
along with a few other sites.
If you haven't seen it yet,
consider popping over to her blog,
Amusing Reflections Of A Country Girl,
and check it out.

Thank you Jocelyn for all your work.
You did a great job!
And thank you for including me in the
20th Homesteading Carnival: Adventure Edition!  :)
What an honor and a nice surprise!

~Peace
