Hubby's Birthday Circus 10:11, 6 February 2009 .. 1 comments .. Link My Husband's birthday was Monday, but do to unforeseen circumstances, we weren't able to celebrate it on that day. So, last night, our kids put together a special circus show in honor of his birthday. :) I helped them put up a curtain, made out of bedsheets, between the living room and dining room, but everything else they did themselves. They made animal masks and hats for themselves to wear along with tickets and circus hats for the "audience" and served us popcorn in homemade paper popcorn holders. My oldest daughter played some music she had on a CD for background music and the show began. The performances included: A lion tamer act performed by my 8yr. old son as the lion and my 10yr. old daughter as the tamer. A tumbling act performed by my 12yr. old daughter. A bee chasing the clowns act performed by all of the 3 above. A horse and trainer act performed by my 12yr. old and 8yr. old, with my tumbling daughter costumed as a horse and walking around in a back-bend while my 8yr. old "led" her around with a carrot. And there was a little dancing done by the two girls. I tried to take pictures with my cell phone but most of them didn't turn out so well. I really miss my digital camera. I believe my husband had tears in his eyes when they brought out his candle-covered-flaming cake at the end. :) It was wonderful. These kind of gifts given by children are the best gifts any parent could ever want to receive. Thank you God for our beautiful children. What a blessing they are!
