Last night, I took my mom (who recently became a Christian at age 76!) to see Franklin Graham in Troy, Ohio (our county seat)!! I was never able to see Billy, but I'm SO glad that I was able to see Franklin!! And with my mom!! She has always liked Billy and was over-joyed when I told her that I had tickets to take to see Franklin.
The whole evening was wonderful...the praise and worship was good, the hymns that were chosen were good (and I'm not a big hymn fan...sorry), the choir was incredible.
Franklin spoke quite a bit about Samaritan's Purse before he acutally got into the meat of his sermon. This really touched home because our daughters have participated in this for quite a while in their Sunday School. I only wish they could have heard the beautiful stories he told about how they are received and the people who distribute them. I think it would have made it a little more "real" to them. Plus, he had some REALLY funny stories about a precious woman from West Virginia who collected some Christmas boxes to brought them to him. He's really funny and a great story-teller.
There was no *****-footin' around in his sermon! He said what needed to be said, that's for sure. There's no way that anyone in that building who was unsaved when they went in didn't understand what it meant to be w/out Christ as their Saviour! PTL!! If they happened to leave there w/out praying the Sinner's Prayer, whether they actually "went forward" and said it in their seats, they HAVE to be haunted by the conviction of the Holy Spirit today! I can't imagine the hardest heart not giving the the LORD more consideration today.
I also have an important prayer concern: A family that is VERY dear to us has urgent need of your prayers. At this point, I'm not going to print the matter. Just PLEASE pray for this dear family! GOD is STILL on the throne!
Blessings from Ohio, Kim Wolf<><
