Ted Zabel to Speak at Miami County, Ohio Homeschool Meeting!!

PLEASE DON'T FORGET...our monthly McCHEO meetings will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 18th, 7:00p.m. at the Troy Christian Church, 1440 St. Rt. 55 (corner of 55 and 202).

I'm thrilled to announce that our 1st speaker of the year will be Mr. Ted Zabel, author of "The Quest for Good Character (Values from the Book of Luke)."  This is a "journaling scrapbook" that you and your family will utterly enjoy all year through...and maybe longer!  This book/curriculum will set a pattern for character and appreciation in your family that will last a life-time. 

Ted is a gentleman who speaks from the heart.  He is very engaging, sincere and I believe he has a product that will help solidify the value of good character in the lives of our families.

We will have childcare for smaller children, however, you may want your upper grade school-level and older children to attend with you. 

TED WILL HAVE COPIES OF "THE QUEST FOR CHARACTER" TO SELL!!!  It's only $10 and well worth every penny!!  As this is the beginning of most families' school years, this is a great time to start the activities in the book.

ALSO NOTE:  Please remember to turn in your McCHEO membership form asap...membership is STILL only $15 for the year.  Look on our information table for HSLDA membership forms - McCHEO MEMBERS GET A DISCOUNT!!

We are excited about the coming year!  Here are a few of the activities we already have planned........

~  YMCA gym will start in October.  The details are still being worked out, but this year high schoolers may have an opportunity to be certified in CPR and Life Saving Skills.

~  Sept. 18th:  Ted Zabel ~ "The Quest for Good Character."

~  Oct. 16th:  Kim Feeny ~ nurse; topic: germs, cleanliness, communicable diseases, etc.  For whole family, use as a health/science credit.

~  Nov. 20th:  Diana Stapleton ~ Family health, nutrition.  For whole family, use as a health/science credit.

~  Dec:  NO MEETING!!  Merry CHRISTmas!!

~  Jan. 15th, '08:  Wendy McGLaun ~ Happy kids.

~  Feb 19th:  ??

~  March 18th:  Annual Geography Fair!

~  April 15th:  Doug Auld ~ Sprint Car driver and homeschool dad!!

~  May 20th:  Annual McCHEO Curriculum Sale.

~  June 17th & July 15th:  Summer park days; dates TBA.

~  Aug:  Annual McCHEO Family Picnic.
