Extreme Home Makeover: Homeschool Edition

We are planning informational sessions for new homeschoolers in the Miami County Area. We hope to encourage families, answer questions, provide support, and publicize the MCCHEO group to those who are new to the area or new to homeschooling. We invite all current members to attend these meetings to help answer questions, etc. and hope that you’ll pass this information on to families who might be interested.

Peregrine Falcon banding

A small group of homeschoolers attended the peregrine falcon banding on May 30th in Dayton. The Dayton falcons have had an interesting season. For more information you can visit their web site at

Mayor’s Youth Council

We have three young homeschoolers that are interested in being a part of the Troy Mayor’s Youth Council.

They will each be asked to write a short essay. I still need a few homeschool parents (that don’t have a child competing) to read and judge their essays.
