Juice Plus Info...
In the process of trying to better my family's health, I am turning over many stones. One of the things I'm looking into - hearing very encouraging things about - is Juice Plus. Now just so you know, I'm NOT selling it, not even using it yet, but I see a lot of testimonies of Drs who are recommending it and even selling it from their offices. My cousin's wife sells it and she just told me about a couple of up-coming occasions that some of you might be interested in.
Bare with me and I'll list them below. If you are not interested, just pass this entry by.
~ Monday, March 12th, 8:30p.m. An open call with Jeannie E. Deasy, graduate of University of KY. She will be speaking on Autism research and dealing with autism through nutrition and Juice Plus.
Call: 1-646-519-5960; access pin 2354.
~ Friday, March 2nd, 7:30p.m. Juice Plus sponsored presentation by Jeannie Williams, RN. At the Holiday Inn on Presidential in Fairborn - across from Nutter Center Arena. She is a nurse who reversed her own MS, long-term, through nutrition and Juice Plus. She will be discussing: nutrition and illness management, auto-immunities, MS, Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, RA, building your immune system, etc.

How interesting that you are looking into this. We just had a visit from my in-laws who are BIG Juice Plus supporters. My father-in-law is a doctor on the east coast and has been taking his patients off of previously recommended vitamin supplements and putting them on Juice Plus. Not only is the research convincing but what they are experiencing for themselves has them convinced as to the health benefits. My husband has been taking Juice Plus now for about 3 months or so and we have just signed up both myself and our 14 year old daughter. I am anxious to see for myself what changes take place in my energy level and health.

Hum...
My mom is a huge fan of Juice Plus. She sells it. There is information about it at her web site:
www.fruitsnveggies.info
My dad, mom, and two younger brothers all take Juice Plus. I'm still skeptial about its claims. It is not the only supplement of its kind. (Barley Green makes very similar claims and has doctors that support it as well.) It is very expensive...$80/month for just two people.
The same benefits of this supplement can be gotten by simply eating real food (i.e. bread made from freshly milled whole wheat flour) rather than eating the stuff at the grocery store that they try to pass over on us as real food (that is completely devoid of nutritional value).
So...if you're able to make bread from freshly milled flour and tend to a garden (or get fresh organic produce from a farmer's market)...this supplement probably isn't for you. However, if you can't do any of this, the supplement may prove beneficial in the short run. Just remember, there are always consequences for taking the easy, broad path and looking for quick fixes. Personally, I'd rather see a person eat the good food that God gave us to enjoy than take chances with what man has come up with.
Hope my bluntness doesn't offend you. This is just my opinion on the matter--not gospel. ;)
Good luck with whatever your family decides to do!
Warmly,
Elizabeth
