I'm FREEZING!!!!!!!! Is it Spring Yet?!
I know it's not ALL that cold - it's in the 20's - but it's that bone-chilling, windy kind of cold that just comes in from weird places into the corners of your house and keeps you all humped-up and walking in quick jerks instead of smooth strides.
Which makes me ask - IS IT SPRING, YET?
Cos if it is then we get to go to our time-share in Florida!! So, if you're cold like I'm cold, I'll show you something to warm you up...
This is the view from the front door

Yep...below is a hot tub, a lovely pool, 100 yards of white sand and THEN...the Gulf of Mexico! Ahhhhhhh!!!
Here is my view from the beach-side of the pool. When I look up from my book and slightly to left I see this...
When I look up from my book and look slightly to right I see this...

But one of my favorite 'things' to see at the pool is THIS...

...That happy vacation smile. Is it spring, yet?!

Hi, Kim,
I just wanted to let you know that there is a correction to my Cheddar Chowder recipe (I'm sorry!). I made a mistake and left out the milk from the white sauce, which is 2 cups. The corrected recipe is posted now.

Yes! the view of the ocean, the pool, and the lovely Palm trees sure looks inviting and warm! Brings back memories too as I used to live in Florida, but on the other side. I used to clean for some very wealthy ladies who lived in condos and had pools much like yours pictured. They were so sweet--would let me bring my family to swim whenever we would like!
What a joy that you have such a special place and time to look forward to!
About the sheet music--To age the edges--I don't cut the paper, I tear it. I then use a Sepia or chocolate brown ink stamp pad and swipe the edges of the torn sheet music (or any kind of paper you would like to use). Its quick and easy. I often save and use apple sauce, olive jars--or any jar I think might have an interesting or vintage look to it-- to repurpose for art work. Thank you so much for your interest and kind comments--much appreciated!
Blessings to you! and keeping your Mom's Pastor and family in my prayers.
