The Simple Woman's Daybook ~ #17 ~ 1/12/09

For Today...

Outside my window...grey and COLD!  We were supposed to get only a "dusting" of snow and ended up w/about 2".

I am thinking...that I am grateful to my mom's church for inviting Ty and I to sing yesterday.  We did 4 songs and the congregation was gracious and loving toward us.

I am thankful for...my warm home.  Thank You Lord!

From the learning rooms...getting ready to do teach Marine Biology to Jenna this afternoon.

From the kitchen...stir fry.

I am wearing...jeans, purple Eeyore shirt and purple socks.

I am creating...more interesting blogs.  (I hope.)

I am going...to the farm for brown eggs and milk.

I am reading...Bible.

I am hoping...that my mom's pastor and his family will be up-lifted by their congregation and others who love them.  Please pray for them.  Their house was burned down last Wednesday. 

I am hearing...the radio.

Around the house...laundry and brushing out Maggie (the dog).

One of my favorite things...driving through the countryside.

A few plans for the rest of the week...McCHEO (homeschool group) meeting tonight, watching 24 w/my dh, homeschool and deciding which church we want to "test drive" this Sunday.

Stay warm! More snow is on the way! (Or so they say. I suppose we'll have to wait and see.) It certainly is beautiful though. Praying that you'll find just the right church.
