Back in October, one of the "arms" on my glasses broke off; so I've just been wearing them around the house - since my family alreadly thinks of me as "cock-eyed" it made no real difference to them just what I looked like stumbling through the house! When going out, I used an old (VERY old) pair of glasses - not only did this pair NOT have bi-focals (yes...I'm old!) but the right eye was a little off. Aren't you glad to know that I've been DRIVING with those glasses?!
Sooo, I FINALLY got new glasses yesterday (thank you, St. Louis!) and I am thrilled!! I have my bi-focals back and they actually sit straight on my head! Wow...what a concept!
Here's another newsflash for the day...In about 45 minutes, I'm taking my darlin' 18 year old dd to get her driver's license! What a mile-stone! DH left his sweet little Honda for her to drive 'cos she can't exactly drive my big, full-sized Dodge Ram Van...THE homeschool bus! So, if you read this before 1p.m. EST, keep her in your prayers! She's actually very good, though. FYI...the reason she's 18 and getting her license instead of 16 (even though dh's 2nd job is as a driving instucter) is because in Ohio, once you're 18, you don't have to take Driver's Training; which costs an arm and a leg and dh's boss wouldn't budge a nickle even for an employee's child. Sweet, huh? So, at 18 they can make an appointment and just take their test. I'll let you know the results later...
Blessings from Ohio, Kim Wolf<><
