The writing on the wall.....

When I went to my aunt's house to collect her turkey carcass last Thursday, she wanted to show off her newly redone bathroom (which I can TOTALLY understand! LOL!) what struck me were the black words on the walls. When I mentioned them, she pointed out writing on the rest of her walls. No, they were not stenciled paints, but vinyl stickers that you can remove at will without damaging your paint. You can get them in tons of colors and a dozen or so fonts.I suddenly saw a new way to decorate. My lovely home has three simple colors - forest green carpet, stark white walls, and rich golden wood window frames ( I posted some pictures here - the carpet color in the picture of the turret is off... I do not know why. It is the color seen in the master bed all through the house). I have never been much of a picture person. but words. Suddenly my lovely white walls are not white walls, but blank paper on which to write ---- THINGS!!! I am thinking the "As for me and my house...." from Joshua on the upstairs landing - the first thing you see when you enter the front door; and maybe a quote from the Constitution or Declaration of Independence in the schoolroom/kitchen; a quote about music in the piano room; a Proverbs 31 verse or two in my office; a quote or verse about families in the hall where the previous owner hung family pictures, and we have too mostly because the nails are already there; the possibilities are ENDLESS! there are no prices listed on the website, but surely I can start with one or two..... speaking of which, I need to go call them now.... ps - I have a total of 28 bottles of turkey broth.
