Holy Cats! It worked!

I put some vinager in a spray bottle and sprayed a bunch of weeds this morning.  THIS MORNING.  about, oh, say, 8am....  I just went outside to check on them (about 4:30pm).  the spots where vinagar had stayed were brown and crunchy.  ALREADY!!!  yippy!  I am headed to Costco tomorrow where I will purchase large bottles of this stuff and maybe a few spray bottles and let the kids spray the weeds!  they always like to play with spray bottles.  this is perfect!
now, for more experimentation:  should I leave them out there still in the ground for another day so that the roots die too from lack of leaves?  I have a pernicious weed, I think in the morning glory family, that has strong, shallow roots that go for MILES in every direction, and every tuft of green is connected to 1000 others and you can never get all of the root out.  Should I leave the dead leaves on the root system, or will that only encourage new growth?  anyone, anyone?

My theory

I figure if you go ahead an pull up or cut off the green part then the vinegar will do an even better job of getting down to the roots and killing off the weed.

I'm not sure if I'm right, but that's my theory anyway. :O)

I used to have it really bad too. It was a misalignment in my upper spine that was the main source of it, and I can feel the pinching in that spot again.

I go to an acupressurist (that's more like therapeutic massage, not the stuff with the needles), but I haven't been in awhile. He had me basically fixed up after 3 or 4 treatments, which apparently is pretty good--some of his clients have taken a dozen to get sorted out.

I don't know what you should do about the plants, but we just recently learned (and tried it out) that a good fly spray for animals (and people) is some apple cider vinegar with water in a spray bottle. It works quite well! Holly
