When you perfect the recipe post it. I'd love to wake up to a hot breakfast all ready. And don't let your child ever find out cleaning toliets 'isn't' fun! Have a Good Day.

The closest we get to waking up to a warm breakfast is when I take 3/4 sugar, mix it with enough butter to dampen it, put this in the bottom of a bunt pan, throw in a layer of frozen rolls, cover that with a cup and a half (?) of brown sugar mixed with a stick of butter drizzled over the top. Let it rise overnight, pop it in the oven for about 20 minutes on 350 and use the time to go get ready for church. :) Yeah, it's alot of butter & sugar but it's a cheap way to skip doughnuts which are probably about as healthy! ;)

The best way I know of to stick to a monthly budget is use cash. I get $100 a week. Once I use that on food or whatever, I'm digging into the freezer & pantry! :) Of course, I use that on much more than food.... so I'm actually in the process of asking for a raise! :P

My SFG boxes have been made! But the ground is waaay too frozen to even plant the things that can go in the ground 8 weeks before the frost date. :( My dh says I'm obsessed with gardening this year! ;P

It says 2 cups instead of the three you were going to try.

I love porridge thick with melted brown sugar, then lots of milk poured into the bowl, then just very lightly mixed, if at all.

Oatmeal and Dave Ramsey

I can't seem to perfect the crockpot method either. So I just stick with either boiling the water and making a whole huge batch for the week, or use crystals method for baked oatmeal which my husband LOVES. I also made her oatmeal pancakes with leftover oatmeal. It's made for a nice warm breakfast on these sub-zero temps.

Thanks for the post about Dave Ramsey. I pray you get to listen to more of his programs...he's really got some great tips!
