oooohhhhh! we are here! we are moved in, and kinda unpacked: my kitchen is starting to take shape, and, lo and behold I have 14 drawers and tons of cupboards! and 2 fridges and a freezer! (one of each of those is in the garage; we brought them from the old house) this house is mine mine mine!!! I am still trying to figure how to post pictures of it, but the kids love it! they love running in and out on on the deck and their new play room downstairs in the basement. We are at the top on the western mountain face of the valley, so we get the earliest sunshine and the earliest sunrise right through my windows - which do not need curtains! any neighbors are WAY down the mountain and FAR away! I keep saying mountain, but it is not what I say is a real mountain, but it is the western border of the valley; I actually think it is a mountain, but it is not over the treeline or anything. We have not had snow yet, which I find really fortunate, since the moving truck was balk-y at the gravel road as it is.... I can only imagine their reaction to a WET gravel road - lol.We attended the local church today, and loved it! Our church congregations are divided by geographic region, and in Salt Lake, that means there are "young family" and "Newly Wed, Nearly Dead" congregations. the latter is in older neighborhoods that poeple have either lived in for 40 years or that young couples can afford.... that was our old house: not a lot of young kids or teens. here, it being rural, has a good mix - lots of young families - my ds4 has 12 kids in his age group! and a good youth group, and a good number of older couples who can help lend experience. For all that though, it was not an overly large congregation. YEAH!!!! the family sitting in front of us had 9 kids, and I am excited to be here. oh, and the location of the church reminds me of New England, which I guess is the Lords (forgive the lack of apostophe; for some reason everytime I hit that key, I get sent to the search bar!  ) way of giving me what I really want.the house is wired all through for electrical plugs, obviously, but a large amount! like six in a room; and with ethernet, so you can set up your internet in any room; and with cable wires as well for the ubiquiatous tv sets - even one in my bathroom! this is crazy! hopefully I will be able to get back here more now that I am not trying to pack my house and deal with stressing children who sense a big change and not know how to deal with it. Oh, I took a flat of strawberry plants and 2 large buckets of raspberries. they are sitting on my deck in the elements, waiting for spring when I can plant them in their new home.
