My weekend late evening project has been knitting a scarf using Uno my Alpaca's fiber. Its working up nice and soft but I may run out to make a really long scarf. The patterns name is The Road Scarf. It is pretty easy with stitches like basket weave, mesh, sugar cube, and seed stitch.
I'll be working on it later tonight , I thought I could get it done last night but morning was coming up and I thought I'd better quit : /.
Heres a link to the pattern with picture , also a neat place that has many patterns and tutorials too.
Happy Knitting

You know how you go to a friends blog , they might be into something you like to do then you notice their other friends are doing the same thing, then you go blog hopping and find a whole bunch of people doing the same thing you like to do. Well that's what I did all right, and found some knitters out there in 360 yahoo, lots of em
This is perfect b/c I have been working on my knitting and quilting area in my workshop. Heres a couple of pictures after I did some painting, In the first picture everything that is painted I found on the curb, it still is serving a good purpose. Oh what a splash of paint does. Works for me, lol I especially like and wanted some type of cubby holes to put yarns in. My sister gave me a hard time about picking this up off the street , but now she likes it. ![]() This picture is inexpensive cabinets that I painted to look like the "junk" treasures I found : ), its great for holding my fabric stash for quilting. and lots of books and mags. Well I'm happy with the little area for the projects I get into. But when it comes to knitting I'm all over the place. Knit in the living room, knit upstairs while reading garden and blog sites, knit outside, in the car, while your fishing, watching the chickens scratch, waiting for a grandbaby to be born, (I wish I knitted while I was in labor). You name it, you can knit anywhere and everywhere, well the shower might be a bit much, but !!!!!!!. I wish I brought my knitting when they worked on my tire, they said it was a 7 hour wait : (. Boy did I pick the right day. I was able to get a ride, good thing cuz I was hiking home. Ok all this knitting blogs really, I mean really has got me goin here. I took a couple pic. of sock projects that I'm going to work on tonight. I'm shooting for Christmas gifts, this Christmas I hope. I love to knit, its so relaxing. I have a spinning wheel that still needs the part, got wool to spin. I should go ahead and learn how to do the drop spindle type of spinning. Tomorrow I'm stopping off at a yarn shop and check what's new, haven't been in there for some time. I will be over the top in there. If you like yarns and wool's you know what I mean. Heres a couple of my sock projects ![]() ![]() Homestead Update: Still cleaning and painting from the flood damage. DD and grandkiddies came by today, I watched the girls and she took the boys for a checkup. I made a little play room for the kids upstairs in the art studio, part of the attic that is made into a little room w/AC. It has a kitchen set and doll house and lots of fun things for them. I have to paint the walls so I let them go ahead and draw on the walls, have at it. Looking at their art work I feel bad about covering it up with paint, so I will take a picture of their work, and I think I'll leave a section , frame it and use it like a picture in their playroom. Theres a big round art table, their size, with all the art supplies and they get so creative. I go to paint stores and they give away discontinued wall paper sample books, some are real big. I cut pages out and they make great colorful place mats for when the kids are painting and such. Plus they can do other projects from these books as well. Gotta hit the paint shops at the right time tho, many people share my recycleness, lol. Oh it was such fun today when the kids came over, we also went to the gardens to pick whatever was pickable. And I brought the salt shaker with me. The little ones picked cherry tomatoes and ate them right there. Even munched on raw green beans. Because everything is getting organized and getting rid of I have containers of holiday stuff that was open when the girls came. They seen my mess and asked if they could help, 5 and 4 yrs old. Wellllllllll ok, so I'm cleaning and they are looking in the Christmas box. They are busy , I am busy, next thing I know theres Christmas decorations all over the house. On the door knobs, on the chairs, on the babies cradle, everywhere. I'm still finding decorations, How did they do that, I was right there in the same room Well I guess I'll keep em out cuz Christmas will be here before ya know it. I started my day with a trail walk in our woods . It was so nice and peaceful, But missed dh cuz he's my spider web catcher, he leads, I plan it that way. Those spiders can spin up a storm, I wonder if they knit, hummmm. Well I'd be walking and looking up in tree cuz of a sound I heard and wham, right in a web. Looks like those spiders could build their traps in other places then the trails. I mean everyone/thing takes the trails, wild critter much bigger then they can catch. Are they like dogs and think they are big enough to catch us?????? Oh well I'll keep walking on the trails and maybe they'll get the hint. Even tho the house is upside down in redo, it was a great day, enjoyed by my love ones. Havin another lovely evening and those night critter sounds are goin again. Glad you stopped by, hope you brought your coffee, I get a bit winded, Ok a lot !!!!! Have an awesome tomorrow Blessings linda |
