FIL - Diagnosis - Colon Cancer - and Open Heart needed days apart!

My FIL had open hear in Jan of this year.  Now he was not recovering well, the repaired valve went bad again and yet another valve has gone bad.  His arteries, etc are clear - so the problem must be a genetic thing.  Colon cancer runs in the family, he's been having symptoms, so they ran a colonoscopy, and yes yes he also has colon cancer - which they believe has been caught fairly early, although the tumor was the size of a walnut.  So in the next few weeks he is to have his colon cancer removed, and days later  his 2nd open heart surgery.  He is self employed with no disability benefits, but thankfully they belong to a wonderful church that is helping them out tremendously.  He is the youngest of 10 children and has always been the spoiled one. Just after his open heart he would just breathe something he wanted and it would appear at his doorway within minutes!  All his siblings were very anxious to do somethng for him (mind you he is in his early sixties - funny how we families are - I mean that in a good way!) :0)
