I had the boys help me think up sights, sounds, and thoughts about our farm for the ABCs this morning. If you all decide to put your ABCs on your blog, just comment here so we can come check out your list!

A - Animals all over the place

B - Barn ~ our old one is practical and fun too!

C - Chickens scratching and pecking at the ground

D - Dogs curled up in the yard

E - Eggs ~ we love finding eggs in the morning!

F - Feed, Feed, and more Feed - seems like we always need more

G - Gloves (everyone needs a good pair of work gloves)

H - Hunting ~ turkey and deer

I - I spy one old horse grazing in the pasture

J - Joe, Jake, & Jon - our reason for moving out here

K - Kittens playing in the bushes

L -  Learning some things the hard way

M - Mudboots for Everyone!

N - No more city life for us.

O - Organics...protecting ourselves from all the chemicals in store-bought stuff

P - Picking cherries from the trees

Q - Quiet... peace and quiet

R - Roosters crowing

S - Sitting enjoying the view

T - Tractors ... chicken tractors that is

U - Using what we have

V - Veggies straight from the garden

W - Wet & muddy

X - eXploring in the woods

Y - Y'all come back now!

Z - Zeroing in on what's really important

Excellent idea :) . We just may have to do this- right now my girls are making play dough creations and "cooking" them in the play kitchen LOL!

What a special list!!! Thanks for welcoming me to HSB...it's a great place! I hope to learn quite a bit. We've been in the "country" for about two years...starting our first garden soon, and hope to be homeschooling next year. Chickens REALLY interest me, so maybe we'll tackle that in a year or so.
