A day on the farm

Staurday August 11

I got up at 5 this morning to go to some yard sales with some of my family. We went to Tupelo and found several but noting really caught my eye. I did buy a pattern for $1.00. I also bought me and my little cuz some knitting rounds. If someone had very small children, you could have hit the jackpot. There was little girls and boys clothes for sale everywhere. We got home somewhere around 10. I went and picked Emly up from her Dad's. Came home and I laid down for a while. I was exhausted. I took me a little nap and then I have been cleaning out my car. Emily and Kristen cleaned the pool and now they are suppose( notice I said suppose) to be washing the car.  Sounds more like a water fight. I believe more water has been on them and the ground then on the car. lol

Today is another hot one. We do have a breeze but goodness it is even hot.

I need to go and do some grocery shopping but if there is anything I dislike it is that. Everytime that I go there is always a bunch of Mexicans at either 3 stores. Now, mind you, I'm not talking about them , it just burns me up the way they block the asles and talk in spanish and just staring at you. I know they are talking about me but what they are saying, who knows. Sometimes, I tell them to speak in English.  It has gotten here where I live, it is awful trying to get into a store and shop. Some of them act like they own the store.

Sorry, if I upsetted anyone speaking my mind. Please forgive me.

sounds like the yard saling would have been fun. I'd have racked up on those little girl and boy clothes. Ya know if they are really nice..they can always be ebayed.
We have seen an influx of immigrants here too. But since we have loads of condos being built at our beaches..well..they are definitely harder working folks for less pay..lots of the bubba's just don't want to work..and want to lay around making meth and getting drunk..so with the immigrants a contractor can know the work is going to get done...sad to say...but if the bubba's would get up and work..then their jobs would be available for them..and not given to the immigrants.
Where I come from ..further South..the town now is almost like living on the edge of Mexico..yes..they are everywhere down there..but some of my good friends in school were of that ethnic. Very nice hard working folks..some of them anyhow. Back when I was a teen and working at Walmart I did have one guy start stalking me..and I had to go to the police dept. and file an affidavit. But yes..they would tend to stare..that's the part that got on my nerves too. I just never let them get to me or act like I felt intimidated or anything. The thing is they are going through a culture shock if you think about it. Everything over here is new and different to them.
Doesn't make the staring and rudeness right..but anyhow....
Hope you have a nice weekend with your daughter.
hugs to ya,
Tina
