I guess my last post wasn't very cheerful? I don't know...no comments, guys, really? Oh well, I hope it gave you something to think about, anyway. All I know is, I was imagining my own two-year-old daughter while reading that story, and I know that Ramona's little girl was just as precious. :-(
Anyway, on a lighter note, I finished a small afghan I have been working on for the past two weeks or so...while thinking I may have been pregnant (yet again -- when, oh when will my hormones settle down??), and needing a distraction during the whole two-week-wait to find out. I was originally thinking it may be a blanket for a new addition to our family, but alas, not yet. I do have an intended recipient, though, a friend who is due to give birth to her little girl in a few short weeks.
The pattern was found on the internet
here. I have always loved this pattern, ever since I first saw my
sister make it. It's so cute, and so neat. If you look at the photos below, in the middle one you will be able to see how it looks like rows and rows of kitties sitting with their paws hanging over, as they do so love to do. It was fun to make up, and easy (this being only my third ever crochet project, so you can take my word for it).
