We had a set of quads born this AM, well at 3am to be exact. 3 bucks and 1 sweet little doeling. We have the doeling and one of the bucks in the house. We will hand raise them, the other 2 are on their mom. Mom is a black and brown nubian, the buck is a white and gray alpine cross, 2 of the bucks are the most beautiful black and white we have ever seen. Just striking. i will try to see if i can figure out how to put pictures on aand show you.

Goats and Rabbits

{ 12:17 , Tuesday, May 16, 2006 } { Posted by Dawn }
We also raise goats,rabbits and chickens. My favorite goat breed at this time is nubian. I have 2 of those and 1 nubian toggenburg mix and 1 toggenburg. My togg at his point is my best milker. But we will see as I have 2 goats ready to kid in the next few weeks for their first time. The rabbit meat is not bad. My kids all enjoyed it and they are very easy to clean. I believe easier than a chicken. We have our goats for milk and I am planning on butchering a buck this year for the meat, but we will see:) I have never tried goat but I have eaten lamb. I am told they are similar. I pray you have a blessed day. God speed in all you do. -Dawn
